I was thrilled when my gouache painting on paper won Honorable Mention in the National Turner Painting Competition, co-sponsored by Jerry's Artarama. 14" x 11" It was inspired by my grand-son and how he must feel as he rides his rocking horse. He loves to go for walks with me and our dog, Bob, and visit the cows and calves who live near our desert home. The simplified bright colors are how I imagine a small child might think.
